Project H.A.L.O
Help and Aid for the Less Opportuned

The Inaugural project for Project H.A.L.O

The Inaugural project for Project H.A.L.O commenced in March 2018 in Ogun State, Nigeria. This is in partnership with the Ikenne Local Government who have provided the land, previously the site of a shanty marketplace. Once the Central Market has been re opened, it will be handed back to the local government to run and maintain.

One of the aims of this foundation is to encourage the development of the women at a local level whether through education or supporting small businesses. By developing this market, with the local government, for the local women it is hoped that this will consolidate all the road side sellers into one common site where the women can ply their trade in a clean, organised and protected environment.

Women are the backbone of African households and by empowering them, family income will be increased and welfare improved. The development is proposed to have over 200 stalls, over 100 shops, 10 sheds for goat sellers with car park facilities for about 50 vehicles. It will include solar powered street lights, an industrial borehole to provide clean running water and a chain link fence as part of the security.

The project is due for completion in December 2018 and should be the start of a roll out venture across Nigeria where we can partner with like minded local governments.
